Athletic Facilities
The Concordia Department of Recreation and Athletics' facilities can be found on both the Loyola and Sir George Williams campuses. However, the Loyola campus facility, located at 7200 Sherbrooke St. W., in Montreal, is the focal point of Stingers varsity sports.
The Stinger football, soccer and rugby teams practise and play games at Concordia Stadium, a 4000-seat stadium with a state-of-the-art artificial playing surface and lighting. The teams also have the use of a second artificial surface and lights located behind the stadium.
The Concordia hockey teams compete at the 1000-seat Ed Meagher Arena, while the basketball teams play out of the 750-seat Concordia gymnasium.
The Department of Recreation and Athletics is enjoying a period of great growth and architects continue to plan for expansion. Check our Web site regularly for facility updates.
